Apply Today for AUA Historian

The AUA is seeking a highly-qualified member to fill the position of AUA Historian, reporting to the Section Secretaries Membership Council.  The Historian also serves as Chair of the AUA History Committee and the Academic Work Group.  Among other leadership roles, the AUA Historian:

  • Supports all AUA Sections to obtain and preserve information of historical significance to the national AUA.
  • Provides strategic direction to Annual Meeting Curator on Annual History Exhibit.
  • Manages review/reviewers of History of Urology Forum abstracts to develop the History of Urology Forum program.
  • Must have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of AUA History (e.g., prior Board of Directors member, Section Historian, Section Officer or experience on AUA committees, etc.).

Applicants must submit a 1-2 page statement of interest highlighting your qualifications relevant to the job description, a Curriculum Vitae and an updated disclosure record. The chosen applicant will train with current Historian, Dr. Ron Rabinowitz, until assuming the position following the AUA Annual Meeting in 2024.
